Robinson List filtering over your SIP trunk
Protect your campaigns and your reputation: automatically exclude calls to numbers on Spain's Robinson List and reduce the risk of AEPD penalties — with VoIPer's trunk or your current provider's.
- Automatic filtering on the trunk
- Single BYOK + PaaS model
- Works with third-party trunks
- Supports LOPDGDD and GDPR compliance
- Extra filter for legal calling hours
What is the Robinson List and why filter it?
The Robinson List is Spain's advertising exclusion service, managed by Adigital. People who register state their objection to receiving commercial communications from companies they have no prior relationship with.
Companies that make commercial calls are required to check the Robinson List and exclude those numbers before contacting them. Failing to do so exposes them to penalties from the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) under the LOPDGDD and the GDPR.
VoIPer builds Robinson List filtering into the SIP trunk layer itself: every outbound call is checked against the list and matches are blocked automatically, without changing how you dial.
Non-compliance is already being fined: the AEPD has penalised calls to people on the Robinson List, with sanctions that can reach 2 million euros.

A single model: BYOK + PaaS
Filtering is one service that brings together your Robinson List key and VoIPer's platform.
BYOK · Bring Your Own Key
You provide your own Robinson List access key (your subscription with Adigital). You keep ownership and the legal standing to query the list.
PaaS · Platform as a Service
VoIPer provides the platform that applies that key: infrastructure, trunk integration and automatic filtering of every call, without you handling maintenance.
The two pieces work as a single service: your key provides the legal standing and VoIPer's platform the automatic filtering over your trunk.
Works with your current trunk
Robinson List filtering doesn't force you to migrate your numbering. You can apply it over VoIPer's SIP trunk or over a third-party provider's trunk, keeping your telephony infrastructure.
This way, telemarketing teams, call centres and sales departments add a compliance layer without rebuilding their calling platform.
Offer it white-label to your customers
Are you a VoIP operator, ITSP or wholesaler? Add Robinson List filtering to your catalogue and offer it to your customers under your own brand.
- Your brand, not ours: the service is presented as yours, end to end.
- A new recurring revenue stream and a standout sales argument.
- Your customers stay compliant without you having to build the infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions about the Robinson List
Is checking the Robinson List mandatory?
Yes. Companies that make commercial calls to people they have no prior contractual relationship with must check the Robinson List and exclude the registered numbers, in line with the LOPDGDD and the GDPR.
Are BYOK and PaaS two separate options?
No. It's a single model: you provide your own Robinson List access key (BYOK) and VoIPer runs it as a managed platform over your trunk (PaaS).
Can I use the filtering with a trunk that isn't VoIPer's?
Yes. Robinson List filtering can be applied over VoIPer's SIP trunk or over a third-party provider's trunk, without migrating your numbering.
Does filtering guarantee I won't be penalised?
Filtering helps you comply and significantly reduces the risk, but compliance also depends on your internal marketing processes and on your contacts' consent.
Can I also filter by calling hours?
Yes. On top of the Robinson List, you can enable a filter that only allows commercial calls Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00, the hours set by law. Calls outside that window are blocked automatically.
How is it different from a normal SIP trunk?
A normal SIP trunk just carries the calls. This service adds, on top of the trunk, the automatic check against the Robinson List and the legal-hours filter before each outbound call is placed.
What about numbers registered after my last campaign?
Registration on the Robinson List is continuous and grows every day. That's why filtering checks each call against the current version of the list, not an old copy.
How many people are on the Robinson List?
Millions: more than five million people according to recent figures, and the number keeps growing. Hence the importance of filtering before every campaign.
